We have booked our rooms at the Lauderdale Beachside Hotel, formerly a Clarion. I know the area quite well, and have stayed several times in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea.

Any rec's as far as good restaurants go? I'm like places with reasonable prices and a good atmosphere. I could care less about the $75 a plate places.

Any rec's on deep sea fishing in the area? Which boat to use? Party fishing boats (my wife likes these– I'd rather go out on a charter).

Does Lockhart (sp?) Stadium have Wi-Fi capability?

We are looking forward to the game, and cannot wait to meet some FAU and OwlsNest folks.

I tailgated there a couple of years ago, and had a blast.

We should have a decent crowd there, esp. the tailgating scene.

Also, any rec's for South Beach (we will drive there one day)? I would like to eat at some local landmarks, esp. some good Cuban cuisine.

Good to have you on board. There is a party boat that runs out of Pompano Beach known as the Hellen S. It is a decent time at a decent price. You can probably find any number of charters just by hitting up the docks in Fort Lauderdale or Lauderdale by the Sea.

There's no WiFi at Lockhart. The press and visiting SIDs hate it.

There is WiFi around in many other places, though, some of it for free.

Check out the Florida Sportsman message boards and ask your fishing boat questions. You will get a lot of help there. I can help you with Palm Beach area fishing/boating info.
