How do you guys feel this will impact the games this year?

I like the change. It will only make the game more exciting.

The best change is the repeal of the rule allowing the clock to run before kick-offs. That rule sped up the game way too much and killed good chances for come-backs.

I think it will make people pay more attention to that part of the game. People will not want to miss kickoff now due to the higher possibility of a return td. In the past people might have stayed tailgating for that extra 5min as they just assumed the kickoff and first drive of a game is predictably boring.

This should add to the excitement. The downside is to expect more injuries on kick offs due to the incresed activity of bodies flying around. It will be a double-edged sword. You may see some of the "better" players involved on Special Teams but that also may put those same players at risk.

negatively for us on returns…we already have a short kicker…

BUT i dont think field position will play such a big role this year - as it did last…

I like it! Curious to see what happens.

Considering we were in the bottom three in kickoff return yardage allowed last season, this can only be bad news for us.
