Re: Bowl Game?????
Not always 6 wins just means you are bowl eligible. If we have 7 wins and another team had 6 wins chances are they may have chosen us over a 6 win teamfins09065 said
Is it true no matter what conference you are in and you have 6 wins then you will make a bowl game???
My two favorite teams are FAU, and who ever is beating FIU!

Only if there are enough empty bowl slots to fill every team with 6 wins. With the addition of the 12th game, they brought aboard a new rule that states that all teams with 7 wins must get priority to a bowl over any 6-win teams, HOWEVER, if there is a 6-win team from a certain conference and there is a bowl open for that conference the 6-win team would go over any 7-win teams from leagues with no more bowl tie-ins.
For example:
Say Vanderbilt finishes 6-6 and the SEC has 8 bowl tie-ins counting the BCS automatic bid. If only 7 of those bowls are filled with teams with 7 or more wins and Vandy is the only 6-6 team in the SEC, they would get that 8th bid. If there are multiple teams in the SEC with 6-6 records and those other 7 bowls are filled with other teams, the bowl committee of the SEC's last bowl tie in would choose who they want, but no at-large teams can take away a bowl game from a league that has a tie-in as long as they have enough bowl eligible teams to fill those slots. 6-6 gets you to a bowl game if you're in a league that has multiple bids or there are no other teams with a better overall record.

I predicted ULM to win the game. I'm not going to gloat about it. FAU seemed to struggle at stopping ULM's offense because most of their plays were either running plays or screens and slant patterns. Bottomline, ULM played from the line of scrimmage most of the day and they seemed to be beating FAU from the line for most of the day. You'll notice that ULM didn't go deep very much. In fact, I don't recall Lancaster throwing it deep even one time yesterday.
Calvin Dawson is a game-breaker. He is a beast and leads the conference in rushing. It doesn't surprise me that he was able to break loose for the game-winner.

Bowl Game?????
The QB and some passes are what really hurt the Owls.

ULM went deep a few times. Dawson had 83 or 84 yards until that final run. FAU did, in effect, shut him down.

The wet field also stopped Dawson, but it also stopped Charles Pierre.
