The place looks very nice! How much did they say they needed? $10 million?
And is there really room for this over there? With the plaza and the fountains? It's just so close to the swim facility…

I wondering if they are taking down the field house, where the locker rooms next to the pool to make room for the fountain? Those thing do need to go.

They put these prints about (going through my brain Role-a-dex) maybe three years ago when baseball celebrated it's 25 anniv. and brought in a big baseball name (was it Clemens?) to help raise the money for one night.

Re: New baseball stadium
The new stadium is really up to us in Owl Country because it will only happen if donations are raised for it. The athletic department barely breaks even and would have to rely on fund raising to get it started. So, if you want to see the stadium, you probably have to think about donating yourself. Unfortunately, without a serious feasibility study and architectural plan with an estimated project cost you can't seriously raise funds.

That stuff doesn't belong next to a university.

Wouldn't it be great to lose all of those City of Boca utility facilities over by the athletic fields and free up all that land. The baseball stadium would have plenty of room to spread out.

It's, what, a water purification plant? And there's also FPL buildings. And they want to accomodate the city more, from what I understand. It's unbelievable.
And they also want to build an FAU high school building on campus. Like we have room for all this stuff. We're not spread out like UF or UCF.

im still, to this day, not sure why that was constructed - donated is mor elike the correct term…i mean, i dont see the tangible "benefit" from basically allocating the fields to solitary city use? someone please feel free to share if they have any idea….
i remember when it was done, years ago…but what has come from it as an ROI vantage i dont see…
