New Parking Fee
this is very ill advised timing, and will hinder a moderate amount of fans from coming when coupled with the large increase in ticket price. :

Is this confirmed? I attended every home game last year, that adds up. I hope it's worth the attendance they will lose. >:(

Re: New Parking Fee
this is what athletics is… go to any other university and they charge for parking… can't spare $5 to your alma mater, your hometown team, the university in your backyard? that's pathetic
this is not the end of the world… the product Walters is putting out on the court is WELL WORTH 5 stinking dollars a game… our ticket prices continue to be the lowest of any school i know…
want that beautiful football stadium? want that beautiful baseball stadium? want to be a LEGITIMATE collegiate program? this is what they do… we need money folks

with all due respect, you tell that to everyone who now has to pay anywhere from $7 to $13 per ticket more now to attend a game over last years pricing…this brings the cheapest seat to $17…most expensive (non courtside) will be $23…
ther older folks who come out are not going to shell that out…mark my word…
and wait until you see the other prices…think you will change your perogative:
School Season Ticket (GA)
WKU $190
UNO* $175
UALR $150
MTSU $140
ULM $125
FAU $120
USA $115
ULL $108
ASU $90
UD $84
UNT $75
FIU* $72
Troy* $45
* = Get in all games for Men's and Women's
now you have to add $5 on for each game you attend to the $120…attend every game and you just matched WKU for the lead at $190…
im not even listing the game day ticket prices..they are even more lopsided…i surveyed 7 real quick and we led in both reserved, and general admit pricing above all other schools…

Re: New Parking Fee
We all talk about becoming a major college program and the Big East and all that. Well if those things are important to you, suck it up and don't let a minimal fee like this drive you away.

Can you by a season pass at a discount or do we have to deal with some idiot collecting $5 when were running late from work trying to squeeze in a few games.

Re: New Parking Fee
Look, no one complains for the $5 parking at Lockhart & this should be no different - football is a growing program as well trying to establish a fan base too - I think it part of progress and where this program is heading, these are the steps needed to generate money for the program - period. The chair backs is another example of this program taking the steps required to grow this program, by offerring the BEST seats at a higher price ($120 + donation) - if we want this program to reach higher levels then we need to institute these types of things. Students are doing their part with higher fees, alumnus & fans now need to step-up and show support with $$$. I have no problem with this, I just hope I can get pre-paid parking passes, like I do for football.
The quality of players coaches & entertainment value, is well worth the extra cost.
