Im thinking given our "rise" as a program, that we may attract some onlookers who simply like the storyline and want to watch history in the making - fastest team to win a Bowl Game from start-up…….
Thoughts?

I am sure others would rather go to watch Hawaii and Georgia in the weeks ahead.
i was referring to the NO community mainly…like just the people who live close by…

Re: Question on last year's New Orleans Bowl...
Troy fans had a lot of people in bars and hospitality workers ask who they were and why they were there ("Oh yeah, the New Orleans Bowl!") and were so many of them around. They were happily surprised at the turnout for a game that New Orleans, apparently, mostly ignores.
That said, it's a great game, facilities (the Dome is a marvel), town and party atmosphere. It was my best time ever at a bowl game (better than the Peach Bowl, for sure … Silicon Valley in San Jose had some nice fan events and a beautiful downtown with party spots, ice skating etc.). But the locals did not make much of an impact in NOLA (or San Jose). The crowd was pretty evenly split between Troy and Rice and the attendance was around 27,000.
There was a real buzz this year amongst Troy fans who missed it last year. A Troy official told me they were prepared to sell 25,000 tickets to the game, which would have made it the best NOB ever.
I wonder how Memphis' big home hoops game will affect its attendance in NOLA.

They are taking the Gtown vs Memphis game VERY seriously, and they have had to cancel one charter to NOLA already.
I hate to say it but this may be the WORST attended NO bowl in a long time.
I really dont know how many we are bringing, and they are only around 800 tickets sold so far.
I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick @$$ and I'm out of bubble gum.

25,000?!? I seriously doubt that. Considering they drew, around 17K to the "Championship" game on their campus, I have a hard time believing that they would have been able to get all those people to travel to NO.
