ID even post for LSU's AD postion if I thought I had even a REMOTE shot.
THAT would be a significant upgrade.

Re: Angelos applies for LSU's vacant AD position
"In breaking news today, the temperature in hell has dropped below freezing."
And now for the top story:
"Craig Angelos, former AD for Florida Atlantic University, has been appointed the new AD for LSU."
I mean, cmon, i wish the guy well…and if he wants out, i welcome it…but maybe chose a little more of a "stepping stone" school to make the next rung up the ladder?

If he wants to leave so badly, why not just fire him?
He's done nothing that you can fire him over. Just becaue he's applying to other jobs? In his industry, that's what people do. Coaches and ADs are always looking for the next best opportunity. The jobs generally only last a few years(especially for coaches) and often depend on factors beyond their control(W's and L's). They have to cash in when they can. That doesn't necessarily mean they are disloyal or aren't doing their job. If any of us had the chance to apply for a higher paying job, we would do it.
Anyway, he didn't get the USU job(According to the USU board, they are hiring an associate AD from the University of Washington)…and I'd be shocked if he gets a job like LSU. He doesn't have the resume to compete for that position yet.

I believe a few old football coaches became AD's, while I agree Angelos doesn't have the resume… I am also not 100% convinced the resume would be a deal breaker.
