THEY ARE ABOUT THE WORST I HAVE EVER SEEN AS A WHOLE. ;D
Anyway, it's time to move on…….
I though Rex mad an interesting remark at the close of his (very lengthy) postgame interview:
"Im going to hit the road, we have two scholarships to fill."
I love this attitude…this is what it will take…forget the refs…forget what we did this year…this, as most know, is a team in progress…we are building…we have got to continue to upgrade talent overall - and we are!
I certainly Hope that NOBODY feels that this team is a failure…i know some are the "losing is inexcusable" reciters, and for you i respect that stance, etc…
But, i also want to offer this:
Remember back when your dad taught you how to ride a bike…it was one push at a time, that resulted in many FALLS…later, you got it - you won, and achieved the goal…there was no berrating, or calling you a failure along the way, when a fall occurred or he didnt like the fact that you couldnt "get the balance away"…there was, on the other hand, patience and support…
I refuse to "rub it in the mud" with this loss…
The bottom line here is that this team in the last two years has done what NOBODY picked them to do…
We finished in the top 8 in a conference with an RPI nine (9) spots higher than where we were…
If you recall we were picked last both years and have finished much better both years…9-11 this year…
I know some dont see life this way, but i am very happy with our progress…winning is contagious, and everyone wants it all the time…But this is when the true winners emerge - coming out after a loss, picking up the pieces, growing, and moving on…
We have ALOT to look forward to in the next couple of years…
We have NOT arrived yet…BUT, our day is coming, and after yesterday, is one day closer…
GET READY.
Just my respectful "after" thoughts…….

Now we'll have an infusion of talent coming in next year. We'll have Holley back. Hopefully all of the suspension problems will be a thing of the past. This was an odd season all the way around. The team never really hit a stride or developed an identity. But we did see some players develop like Nwoji, Perkins, Hughley, and Royster. It kind of reminded me of the 2006 football season in a way…being just on the verge of taking off. Hopefully we'll see simliar results next season.

Brush off the dust and lets go!
I like what I was seing at the end of the season from this team and we should be in better position to have a better start to season next year.
We lose three guys, Simmons, Alarcon & Parmer, everyone else is back.

I'm curious about Sammy though, we all made a big deal about this kid. "Oh wait until Sammy comes in" it's obviously pointless for him to transfer but do you think after spending half the season with the team, and barely playing he'll want to come back? I know he can work hard over the summer even work out with some of his teammates maybe that will help him but you gotta think his ego is a bit bruised right now
My two favorite teams are FAU, and who ever is beating FIU!
