Louisiana-Monroe has been the HOT team so far this season, yet they stumbled last weekend as with Troy, both losing their weekend series opening the door for the Owls.

We do have some work to do and need a little help, but things don't look as gloomy, there is a chance, now the players will need to string some W's together, winning the conference title might help our cause in reaching post season play.

This is a BIG series, considering NO (4th) was projected to be part of post season play, they sit at 12-8, while we are at 12-7 (2nd) in conference play.  We are 6-1 in conference series play, yet we have struggled on the road, especially Storey.  So, getting off to a good start on Friday will be critical for the Owls, hopefully Storey can give us a solid performance and turn around his road warrior blues, 13.75 ERA (on the road) will not cut it this weekend.

Looks like the Privateers took the first game, 10-6 as they extend their hot streak - they have only lost six game in their last 30 games.

Looks like everything requires a membership fee - they do provide Video feeds for the games.

The video at unoprivateers.com is available for a fee.  I think a one month membership is only 5 or 6 bucks.  If you sign up for one month, you should get the weekend on video with no problems.  If you do that remember to cancel after the weekend, though.  It'll probably automatically renew at the end of the month.

The game last night ended at 12:12 am central.  UNO led 10-0 but you guys made it pretty interesting late.  This is such a huge series for both of us.  We really needed to win behind Cryer.  He improved to 10-1 this year, ERA around 2.  He broke UNO's All-Time strikeout record last night.

Rain is again in the forecast today.  It is raining right now.  It is supposed to go away sometime around mid-day.  First pitch may be pushed back from 2:00 central a little, but we should get this one in eventually.

EDIT:  Today's game is now officially set to begin at 3:00 pm central time.
