Some of those make me wonder if the coaches are voting on actual projection versus obligation based on history (Notre Dame, Florida State, etc)

Did Schnellenberger not vote? Or is it only the BCS coaches that can vote? Because at the bottom, there are schools that got 1 vote and you'd think most coaches would vote for their own team regardless of whether they believed that or not.

Re: Coaches Poll out

why is Tulsa receiving a vote? Didn't UCF spank them?

UNC is getting votes I guess because of Butch Davis but some of these baffle me. Like someone said Notre Dame? Seriously? OK state c'mon.. they got killed by Troy!

My two favorite teams are FAU, and who ever is beating FIU!

Re: Coaches Poll out

I'm really scratching my head as to why Arizona is receiving votes.  Other than knocking off Oregon in Tucson last year the program has been on the rocks for years.

Coaches Poll out

Bob Stoops' brother coaches that team..they made some noise two years ago after finishing below .500 for like the four years prior…last year, despite the record (5-7), they played a couple of tough teams pretty tight:

2007 Results

…i think they will have a solid program this year.

Top 25 might be a stretch though…

Re: Coaches Poll out

Arizona State (ASU) is ranked and is coached by Dennis Erickson.  Dude can flat out coach (and drink) and has some talent to work with.  ASU will make noise in the Pac-10 this season and finished last season 10-3 as co Pac10 champs.

Mark Stoops' University of Arizona is not ranked.

Re: Coaches Poll out

They were saying that Arizona received votes, not that it made the top 25
