Interesting read… could we have found a weakness to exploit?

We are not going to exploit weaknesses in the Texas running game…they will expose weaknesses in our running defense IMO. We will need to have timely stops and turnovers to stay in this game, they will rush for +200 yards.

That article does not speak of a redshirt freshman back named Cody Johnson, who is a big power back (255 pounds) and is starting to turn some heads in Austin. If I understood correctly, he has already earned the tailback spot in the jumbo package, which I hate, but which we do run effectively against most schools.

Fozzy Whittaker& Vondrell McGee were elite recruits. Texas will never have a problem with talent at the RB spot as long as we all live……..

Having lots of depth at RB is more of a strength than a weakness. Maybe they don't have an identity at RB, but they do have options and that is a good thing in my book.

Don't forget, only one coach in NCAA history has coached two of the top 6 all time leading rushers……and that is Mack Brown (Ricky Williams & Cedric Benson). I think Mack has some insight into how to organize a running game.

I have no doubt… I am just saying that with 3 people vying for the same starting spot and trying to impress coach on the first game of the season they are gonna try really hard and will either excel or make a stupid mistake under pressure that we can exploit… with 3 different players and multiple play calls and options there is bound to be some confusion and mistakes, maybe not a lot… but there will be some
