How bout the belt!!
The SBC could notch wins over CUSA, the ACC, and SEC this week is MTSU and ULM hang on. ULM is up 24-6 in the 2nd half over a not very good Arkansas team, but still impressive. MTSU is up on Maryland 24-14 in the 4th. Again, Maryland isn't very good, but any wins over BCS teams gets respect around the country for the Belt.

In review:
FAU beats UAB 49-34.
ULM lost by a single point… 28-27 Arkansas.
ULL had a bye.
MTSU pulled it out and beat Maryland 24-14.
FIU was blanked 42-0 by Iowa.
Tulsa smashes North Texas 56-26.
Arkansas State had an amazing basketball-type score as they defeated Texas Southern 83-10. Holy crap.
Western Kentucky came down on Eastern Kentucky (?) 37-13.
And Troy was postponed.

haha 83-10! OUCH!
Eastern Kentucky is a 1-AA team and was a rival of WKU when they were both 1-AA
My two favorite teams are FAU, and who ever is beating FIU!

SBC teams winning non conference games is a trend which i believe will continue for the rest of the year, and it means even more when those teams which are beat are from BCS conferences. I hope FAU gets one of those BCS wins!!!
Thanks guys (except for the poster who said "is Maryland that sorry"). If our own conference mates downplay the BCS wins, then how are we to get the respect nationally?
We earned the win. Maryland didn't "give" us anything, esp. with the "sorry" ACC refs.
Again, thanks to the Owl fans who have offered congratulatory messages on our board and elsewhere. When you guys beat a BCS team or two this season (and you will) it will not be because the other team is "sorry", it will be because FAU is that good.
