LeBrun makes final round of Q-school

FAU's Steve LeBrun just sneaked into the final round of the PGA Tour's qualifying school by finishing tied for 15th over the weekend at the Brooksville, FL second-stage qualifying site. He will now head to PGA West in LaQuinta, Calif. on Dec 3-8 for the marathon final qualifying stage. If he finishes in the top 25 there, he will earn full-time playing status on the PGA Tour, which I think would be the first time an Owl has been a card-carrying member of the tour. Good luck, Steve!

He's a good guy. He played in the 2006 Pro-Am at Miccosukki. Others on his team including Papa Smitty (my dad), OJ Simpson and the owner of the golf course. It was a lot of fun. Steve was great.

He was just inducted into the FAU Athletics Hall of Fame last week.
