Questions about the MCB/CMU/Detroit from an unexpurgated viewpoint.

Post

The straight dope, right here. If I don't know, I'll find out.

BTW, thanks for coming to the D. Our state needs a economic boost like no other. :)

Detroit/Windsor has alot to offer for football fans. You just need the right advice.

This one is the most moron-proof.

Scout.com: Central Michigan Forums List

This one is full of morons. Some of those folks hate my guts on that site, but I don't care.

MLive.com Chippewas Forum

These are the folks who think that CMU is on par with the Big 10. Caveat Emptor.

Hope this helps.

First and foremost, I look forward to playing FAU the 26th! Second of all, I am suprised this site didnt require a urine sample to get registered, good grief!

haha we have a lot of problems with spammers so our Mods do what they can to make it hard for these losers to register for an account and start spamming the board.

I know it's early and it will heat up as the game gets closer but you CMU fans are pretty cool. I think there's a mutual respect from both sides. Last year we had this Memphis fan who was a giant tool named Bossman who would come on here and talk about how good their basketball team was in the football forum, especially after we beat the snot out of them.

My two favorite teams are FAU, and who ever is beating FIU!

Yea, I would say for the most part our fans are pretty courteous, except when Western Michigan is involved, lol.  You might get a few trolls on here, but most of us will try and remain civil, especially bc we have never played you guys before.

Re: Questions about the MCB/CMU/Detroit from an unexpurgated viewpoint.

Greetings from another Chippewa fan.

I hope those of you who are able to make the trip enjoy it. Bring warm clothes and hats and such, its a bit chilly end of December in Michigan. Ford Field may house the worst team in the NFL, but it is a first class, state of the art facility. The place is beautiful, great place to watch a game. Comerica Park is just across the street, and you've got the Fox Theatre also and a few casinos downtown. Joe Louis Arena is just down the street some. Staying near downtown is the best bet. It is nice and with the number of people downtown for the game, will be relatively safe, but you wander a bit far from downtown and it can be a little sketchy, but you can tell where it's good and where it is not.

You guys have a very fast football team and I am expecting a shoot out. I have heard that your defense has some discipline issues with a lot of personal fouls and late hits. If this is the case, both defenses will be moving the ball for the offenses, because we have the same damn problem.

Head on over to the scout.com board, as said before, probably the least amount of idiots on it, and usually more conversation in my opinion. We look forward to the showdown with you guys here in a few weeks.
