The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reported Wednesday that Mississippi State quarterback Wesley Carroll is transferring to Florida International.
FIU officials could not comment on players who are not yet enrolled.
Carroll, a sophomore, passed for 1,392 yards, nine touchdowns and seven interceptions in 2007, but played in just four games in 2008 before being benched. He finished the season with 560 passing yards, three touchdowns and seven interceptions.
Carroll, who went to high school at St. Thomas Aquinas in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., will have sit out a year per NCAA transfer eligibility rules.
My two favorite teams are FAU, and who ever is beating FIU!

ok i played against carrol in high school he was never that good the reason he went to miss st. is becuase he played at st.thomas with 100 d-1 players aorund him he was a prduct of the people around him nothing more
Meaning he can throw it and if people on the other end can catch it, he's a good QB?
Because FIU's people certainly didn't have a problem catching it when McCall threw it in the Shula Bowl.

What im trying to say if he didnt go to St.thomas he wouldnt been recurited as high he wasnt that great on his own if you know what i mean i couldnt carry a team on his own. I remeber that year there was adebate who was the best qb coming out broward him or the Derek Rifenbury who is the qb in wating after Dan Lafever but 4 out of 5 coachs said Derek Rifenbury was better but since Carrol was coming out of St.Thomas he was recurtied higher.owlcountry said
