That kid is very good, total control and confidence.
He should be the top recruit at his position in the SBC…although some write-ups will probably slight him given his height…
One thing is for sure…none of the league's signees will have the complete package he offers of speed, shooting, ball control, and passing ability…
He may not prove to be the best defender in the league at his position considering the competition level will increase and he will be facing guys who are 3-5 inches taller for the most part…and are more athletic than the guys on the highlights shown… but he will be a solid shooter from the outside…which only a few teams have at PG…he will also be a solid distributor down low due to penetration speed… this is a major plus given that we have a weakness in low post scoring (with the departure of Los) and need a "helping hand" from a point guard who can draw the defender away from the would be scorer…
Former FAU standout Earnest Crumbley comes to mind as a comparison…but i would give the edge to Taylor overall…

That's awesome. We keep reading about recruits who averaged 15-20 ppg in high school… what do they tend to average for their freshman year in college? Same? Or less?
Also, if he remains so low priority on the bench, do you think Gagel will be retained as a scholarship player next year?
Tucker and Richardson have definitely earned their right to be here. And we've certainly battle-tested them through and through. They may get more starts than most freshmen at D1 schools! That bodes well for their sophomore year.

This is tough to answer…he can shoot it…no doubt there…
But, most importantly, he can do what MJ wants him to do, which is create…so, there is a ying-yang…
He will encounter tougher competition at the DI level hands down of that he has faced thus far in HS…
Regardless, he is VERY skilled…and given our coach, think he will be very successful in his role here…regardless of what it ends up being.
Gagel:
Great question…
"Despite common references in news media reports, there is no such thing as a four-year scholarship. All N.C.A.A. athletic scholarships must be renewed and are not guaranteed year to year, something stated in bold letters on the organization’s Web site for student-athletes. Nearly every scholarship can be canceled for almost any reason in any year, although it is unclear how often that happens."

Bottom line:
Up to MJ.
