Former Utah State offensive line coach Vance Vice has accepted the same position at Louisiana-Monroe.
Vice spent the past four seasons with the Aggies, but was not retained when new head coach Gary Andersen took over in December.
"We are excited to welcome coach Vice to our coaching staff," Louisiana-Monroe coach Charlie Weatherbie said. "He has a great track record working with offensive lines and is a great teacher of the game. We are blessed to have his expertise on our staff."
In 2007, Vice coached guard Shawn Murphy, who was a fourth-round pick by the Miami Dolphins in 2008. Murphy was the first Utah State player invited to the East-West Shrine Game since 2002 and the first Aggie offensive lineman to play in the game since 1986.
Prior to coming to Utah State, Vice spent five seasons with Illinois State.
