Marc Abdelnour moves to 5-0 on the season
BOCA RATON, FL (January 24, 2009) – Marc Abdelnour moved to 5-0 on the season with a two set victory over a ranked opponent in Florida Atlantic University’s 4-2 loss to Ric no 24 nationally ranked Rice University, Saturday afternoon at Patch Reef Park.
FAU captured their first doubles point of the year with Abdelnour and Eddie Majcher capturing no. 1 doubles and Lawrence Harradine and Santiago Neito defeated Rice’s no. 3 double to take the point.
Abdelnour rounded out the points scored for the Owls with his singles victory.
Rice marked the third nationally ranked team the Owls have faced in as many matches. RU also marked the highest ranked team to play at FAU in recent history.
