A-Sun's Jacksonville Gets Nod in NIT Over Superior Sun Belt Team
That is quite interesting considering that the Trojans were 23-8, and had an ranking of 100, according to CBS, while the Dolphins came in at 148th, and had an overall record of 18-14.
The conference ranking was 20th (SBC) to 26th (A-Sun) according to Sagarin Rankings.
If that was not enough, UALR finished 124th in the Sagarin Rankings as well , while the Dolphins swam in at 151st.
Can someone in the SBC front office please answer this question:
"Why?"

This is something that has changed in just the last few years. It makes it much harder for someone like UALR to get an at-large bid, but it also gives some safety net for a team from a one bid conference that loses thier conference tournament.

Because they won the auto bid from winning the ASun regular season.

Great news…
Where did you hear that ??
That could have some serious impact on lower conference Teams getting into post season in the future…including the SBC given current rankings
