Re: rankings of best classes from hoopscoop

So let's see here Exit…

There are 347 D1 Teams…

Looks like we did pretty darn good!

What do you think??

Although ranked fourth in the SBC…but the two teams just above us are technically "ties"…

On a side note:  I don't see how MTSU snuck in that high!?

Re: rankings of best classes from hoopscoop

it seems simpson is going to be a project, not like sammie or the that UF transfer but he's going to need good coaching, mj will be put to the test. its going to be a very young team, hopefully a weak non conference schedule with a bunch of home games will help.

i'm still shocked how bad we did this year, i thought we were going to be great with monroe, graham, nwoji….. but that didn't happen. we were better last year when they were all juniors. I really don't know how this team is going to play out, the freshmen got a lot of experience so that's going to help. we still need a proven big man, a proven point guard and the mental capcity to play 40 smart minutes.

UCF home and home…

American on the road…

I think we will all be happy with Simpson…honestly, don't see him being on project on this level of play…

Re: rankings of best classes from hoopscoop

Not to rain on this parade, but these rankings are based on total points and we have many recruits registered so we have more points.  So the average points per recruit is a better example of how it is going.  It is difficult to say we are better off than SMU and USF (San Fran) when they only have 1 recruit registered so far.  Look at the gators…they only have 2 recruits and they have 18 points.  As much as I love to see us up there at #42, I doubt we have the #42 recruiting class.  I wish we did.  The good news is:  Isiah Thomas is NOT our coach.  ;)

Agree with you…

it's based on "stars" from rivals.com…

Don't know how many vacancies the other two programs have, could be alot less than we do…we have a large class coming in…therefore, not indicative of a truly comparative class in terms of same sample size…

But if they do need a few more bodies, it is a good sign we got all of ours early; while they wait :)

MTSU had 8 recruits, AND they are still counting Wendell Lewis who decommited for them.
