Pre-season camp Day 5...

Post

Ahh, cloud cover…gotta love it…but Coach doesn't…he wants it as hot as it can get…

This is what the players were under for the most part of practice…not bad considering they now have to don full armor:

Coach Schnellenberger was busy working on a TV spot for the Cleveland Clinic…which he looks pretty happy in…

Pre-season camp Day 5...

After he left practice, he didn't...aside from the Oklahoma drills, he thought the effort was lacking...

Xavier Stinson went to the training table about half-way through practice and would not return…bruised ribs…

But he did find some time to chat with some Fans…the guy sure looks impressive, and has bulked up a bit it seems compared to last year:

Coach Payne says: "Get low and stay low".

To help in this endeavor, the guys slide under what ressembles a trampoline (that players call the "roof") and run a two on one blocking drill out of the shute..

Dino Cox (L), is a sleeper to keep an eye on…but he was having a rough day today…he had to run this one on one defensive line drill just about 20 times straight…

Onto the Linebackers…spent a little time over there watching Coach Van run them through some drills…

We have solid size, but technique offers a growing opportunity…

Don't be surprised to see this guy in the line-up (#44 Mark Soto)…he is currently the #4 LB behind Eugene, Lockley and Bradwell, but is learning all three positions…a tough challenge, but shows the confidence the staff has in him…
