"A meeting on proposed improvements to Glades Road between Interstate 95 and NW Seventh Avenue will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Palm Beach Community College Humanities/Technology Building, 3000 St. Lucie Ave. in Boca Raton.

The Florida Department of Transportation plans to resurface the road as well as add a sidewalk along on the north sides of Glades Road between Renaissance Way and Airport Road. Left-turn lanes from Glades to the entrance of Florida Atlantic University will be extended.

In addition, FDOT will upgrade traffic signal detectors, pedestrian signals, traffic railing, signs and landscaping.

The $4.3 million project is expected to start in spring 2011 and last about 14 months."

Looks like they're also going to close that median (where you could go past Glades at the first entrance to FAU and then U-turn to get in) to make a new entrance at Brevard Court (that road that leads you to IRT off of Glades)
