Wow, bowl eligible and they can the guy. Granted a little lucky early in the year and then lost it late, so, bye bye Charlie.

Marshall also said goodbye to their coach after a 6-6 season. Seems like this is a tough year for coaches.

Monroe seems to always start off good and then self-implode as the season progresses.

I do think that something will have to be done if we want to continue to follow the lead & pace that Troy has set….We made some great stride the past few years & we must ensure that we continue to move forward, granted we have taken a step back this season, but that will happen for time to time.  However, tough decision are made all the time and if want to continue the move forward process, then changes will have to be made.

Middle Tennessee has done everything they can to keep pace & we must do the same or stay middle of the pack…some how I don't think that part is in Howard master plan or mental disposition.

Re: Football: ULM's Charlie Weatherbie expected to be fired today

Looks like former Army head coach and Warhawk's offensive coordinator Todd Berry is set to take over at ULM…good or bad hire??

Guy is 29-60 as a head coach. In 1999 at Illinois State he went 11-3-0; which gave him him the nod. But, as Army's head man he was 5-36…of they course ran the triple option with the limited talent they can pull.

I still think it was a bad move with the firing of Weatherbie given the results they produced this season, and what they pay their coaching staff, but just an opinion…good luck Todd!
