WASHINGTON – George Michael, a veteran Washington sportscaster who gained national recognition with his syndicated "The George Michael Sports Machine" highlights show, died Thursday. He was 70.

I remember growing up in NY and watching George Michael Sports Machine every Sunday night. Not sure if any of you remember him. He was very popular in the DC area

I remember seeing it on Sunday nights after the news down here for years. Even 10 years ago he was using graphics technology from 40 years ago!  ;D When he'd cue up a highlight you'd see that reel to reel machine fire up on the set, it was pretty funny.

The guy was sportscenter before sportscenter.
