Four Members of FAU Athletics Involved in an Auto Accident
Four Florida Atlantic University athletic department family members were involved in an auto accident on their way to the football banquet, Saturday. Three were current members of the FAU football team and one was a student trainer.
Thankfully, three were treated and released from the hospital early Saturday evening, but Austin Jensen, a junior safety, remains hospitalized.
"I have spoken with both Austin and his family and I'm confident Austin will fully recover," said Howard Schnellenberger, FAU's head football coach. "Austin is doing well and his family is with him. He remains in ICU, but is making progress. Austin has received a tremendous outpouring of support and camaraderie from his teammates and friends, for that his family and I are extremely grateful. Our thoughts and prayers will be with him through this fight for recovery."
