FAU vs WKU - The Series: The Owls lead the all time series 7-6, but did lose two of three games against the Hilltoppers last season at Nick Denes Field.

[li]WKU relief pitcher Rye Davis has been named to the midseason watch list for the 2010 Stopper of the Year Award. Davis has registered seven saves, tops in the Sun Belt Conference. In 21 appearances, Davis has fanned 38 and walked just eight. He is 2-1 with a 1.57 ERA on the season, and opponents are hitting .215 against him.[/li]
[li]WKU ranks eighth in the nation in runs scored and third in the nation in triples. Matt Payton is seventh in the country in runs and second in triples.[/li]
[li]WKU has scored 10 or more runs in 17 of its 36 games this season and have posted double-digit hit totals 24 times.[/li]

- [li]Mike Gipson is ranked third in the Sun Belt with 49 strikeouts on the season. Gipson has started eight games and holds a 6-1 record with a 2.68 ERA on the season.[/li]
[li]The Owls have been riding the hot streaking Dan Scheffler, holds a team leading .405 batting average, 40 RBI & 10 Home Runs. Scheffler hit two home runs in Tuesday's game Owls 7-4 victory against Lynn. [/li]
[li]Raymond Church heads into this weekends series holding a 9 game hitting streak. Church improved his season batting average to .310 with 36 hits, 10 doubles, 4 home runs & 24 RBI.[/li]
[li]The Owls hold a 12-7 advantage playing in the confines of its home Field.[/li]
[li]Playing short handed, the Owls will be without Anthony Mesa & Mike Albaladejo due to injuries.[/li]

Looks like they are going to try and get this one in…umpires are heading to the plate after a two+ hour rain delay.
On a side note:
Sunday's game has been moved to tomorrow for a DH.
Start time for game one is 2:00PM…game Two is 5:00 PM.
