FAU takes over first place with 7-2 win over South Alabama
Andy Mee's three RBI double to right helped Florida Atlantic to a first place standing in the Sun Belt conference on Friday night in Mobile, AL.
The hit also extended Mee's streak to 14 games.
"I thought we played very well," said head coach John McCormack. "I’m proud of the guys and it was a very good start to the weekend."

Florida Atlantic (30-16, 18-7) struck first, scoring four runs in the fourth inning.
Anthony Mesa's RBI single extended FAU’s edge to 5-0.
The Owls would score their last two runs in the sixth as a wild pitch scored Mike Albaladejo, and Nick DelGuidice's RBI single brought in Dan Scheffler .
DelGuidice was 3-for-5, with one RBI, and one run for the contest.
South Alabama (28-19, 15-7) eventually got on the board in the seventh when Sean Laird singled to left field, bringing home Brent Tanner.
Ryan Bernal came on in relief for Garton in the eighth inning giving up one run, which was unearned, to close it out for FAU.
The teams will meet for game two of the series tomorrow at 7:00 p.m. from Stanky Field.
