Quotes of the Day:
“Have we reached our potential yet? I don’t think so, there is a lot of room for improvement, we played very well this weekend I thought, especially Friday and Saturday.”
On this weekend’s pitching:
“Were not trying to do anything different. We’re going to start Garton and then Gipson”
On beating expectations from last season:
“Were a completely different team, if you look at last year, we lost a lot of good seniors and baseball recruiting is a completely different game.”
On Andy Mee:
“Very good player, we wouldn’t be where we are without him.”
On beating expectations from last season:
“Were a completely different team, if you look at last year, we lost a lot of good seniors and baseball recruiting is a completely different game.”
On Western Kentucky:
“We were fortunate enough to beat them at home.”
”It’s a neutral site; there a good team, and we know it. We’ve got to play well and pitch well and were looking forward to it.

Re: SBC Championship Thread: FAU vs WKU - May 26, 2010
“We’re probably not going to know anything specifically, we’re going to probably get a couple different opinions for his purposes,” said head coach Chris Finwood. “He won’t throw in games one or two for sure, even if he was feeling good, I don’t think he’d be ready to pitch. So we’ll plan on some other guys being in there and we’re still trying to make that decision.
“I’m not going to put him out there unless he feels great. He’s done so many things for us, I’m not going to put him out there if there’s any chance that he’s going to get hurt any worse. We’ve got his future in our minds and he’s an important kid.”

If the Owls beat WKU, we play USA, if we lose, we play FIU.
