9:30 PM!!!! It's dark and you are in a canal? What were they expecting? He's most likely going to lose his hand (fortunately thats all it was) because he was too stupid to realize NOT to swim in a CANAL when its dark out. And of course they had to kill the gator because of course its the alligator's fault.
