The first set was close early on until the Hurricanes went on a 20-9 run to win 25-13.
Miami continued its streak in the second set, taking a 9-3 lead. FAU eventually tied it up at 14, before eventually losing 25-18.
In the third set, the Hurricanes got out to a 13-9 lead, but once again the Owls were able to tie the score, this time at 18. However, they fell just short, losing 25-21.
