FAU to Host Open Event for Jupiter Viewing

"To celebrate the re-opening of the upgraded observatory, Eric Vandernoot, Astronomy and Physics Lab Coordinator in FAU’s department of physics, is inviting the community to a 'Re-open Dome Event.'

The dome will be open to the public with access to the (new and improved) telescope from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 24, at the Charles E. Schmidt College of Science Astronomical Observatory.

What this means to stargazers is, we'll get a great view of Jupiter. Our solar system's giant planet won't be this close again until 2022."
