Titans' Rookie Dress Up for Halloween
Veteran defensive end Jason Babin came up with the idea that all the rookies should wear Halloween costumes on the four-and-a-half hour flight from Nashville to San Diego on Saturday.
In fact, the costumes awaited the rookies today when they returned from practice. Some examples: Damian Williams (Popeye sailor outfit); Rennie Curran (bright green leprechaun suit and matching hat); Marc Mariani (full-body Cat in the Hat outfit); Alterraun Verner (pirate); quarterback Rusty Smith (prince).
“I think mine is the best one,” Smith said. “I’d rather have this than the ones everybody else has. Rennie is going to look hilarious.”
Seconds after Smith spoke, veteran quarterback Kerry Collins leaned into Smith’s locker area and said, “Hey, Ariel the mermaid called.”
“Yeah, she’s going to be waiting for me in San Diego,” Smith said. “We’re right on the ocean there.”
