FAU got a good showing from Garton (2-2), but was stymied at the plate managing just five hits in a 2-1 game one loss.

The Owls put a runner on in the ninth, but got caught on the steal attempt.

Raymond Church was 1-of-3 with the lone RBI for Florida Atlantic.

The Owls won last year's meeting, but won't get this series as the Ragin' Cajuns (15-11, 5-3) jump out to an early lead and hold it en route to a 6-2 win in game two.

Down 5-0 after three innings, Raymond Church's sacrifice fly brought in Nick Delguidice to narrow the gap slightly.

However, FAU (17-10, 5-3) was then held scoreless until the top of the ninth when Andy Mee singled to drive Church in for the only other run.

Florida Atlantic starter Paul Davis (5-1) went just three frames; giving up five earned runs on seven hits.

Mee and Sean Bukovich led the Owls with a 2-of-3 performance respectively.

UL has out-hit FAU 22-12 through the first two games.

UL completed a clean sweep over FAU today, winning game three by a final score of 5-2. Fielding was a sore spot for Florida Atlantic, with four errors on the afternoon.

After the Owls took an early 1-0 lead in the first inning, the bats remained quiet until the Cajuns took control with three runs in the bottom of the fifth.

The Owls loaded the bags in the top of the seventh, and received a freebie when UL reliever Matt Hicks balked in Joey Burkhalter. Hicks then hit Andy Mee, to load the bags again. However, the visitors couldn’t capitalize further.

UL tacked on two insurance runs in the seventh to round out the scoring.

R.J. Alvarez (3-2) took the loss.

The Owls are missing 1B Dan Scheffler's bat. Scheffler was held out due to complications surrounding a broken bone in the nose area a few games back.

Florida Atlantic will be back in action at FAU Stadium on Tuesday when they host Florida Gulf Coast at 6:30 p.m.
