"As a freshman at Boca Raton High School, Kaitlyn Russell felt like something was missing in her life. Lacrosse has filled that void.

Russell was introduced to the sport and enjoyed it so much that she played all four years with the Bobcats.

When she entered Florida Atlantic University, her only option was a women's club team since there was no varsity lacrosse program on campus. The club team practiced and played in scrimmage games, but it never progressed any further.

Now in her sophomore year, Russell can boast a huge change in the sport's culture at FAU as the team is now a part of the Southeast Lacrosse League, which brings together college club teams from throughout the southeastern United States."
