The 2011 Sun Belt Baseball Tournament will be held Wednesday, May 25 through Sunday, May 29. The SBC has moved to a new format this year featuring the top eight finishers competing against each other in two four-team pools (A & B). The team with the best record in each pool will advance to the championship game. Each team will be guaranteed three games and a day off prior to Championship Sunday.
Fifth-seed FAU will toss Ryan Garton against fourth-seeded WKU in the first round of the SBC tournament on Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. EST. Garton scattered seven hits and two runs over six innings against the Hilltoppers en route to the Owls' 4-2 win over WKU on May 6th. WKU earned the fourth seed after taking the regular season series from FAU.
It will be Trojan warfare from there out.
The Owls take on top-seeded Troy in the 6th game on Thursday at 8:00 p.m EST. Florida Atlantic pounded out 31 runs to take the regular season series from the Trojans at FAU Baseball Stadium (7-9, 15-9, 7-1).
FAU concludes pool play on Saturday against 8th seed UALR at 12:00 p.m. EST. The Owls took the regular season series against the Trojans as well (3-1, 11-7, 2-4), also in Boca Raton.

UALR does nothing to help us really….
Lose two of three and we are on the bubble in a big way.
