But what will they do with the 6 QBs already on the team?
Wilbert, Graham – RS SR
Kooi, David – RS SR
Bolognese, Andrew – JR
Curtis, Stephen – RS SO
Bracewell, Nick – RS SO
Kane, Colton – FR
Do you think anyone will be cut or transfer anyone this year? There's no way Pelini is going to have 8 QBs on his squad.

Re: A different QB problem
kane, Curis and Bracewell all ran a spread in HS I belive so they will have a shot to compete.
TBH I have never even HEARD of Bolognese??
I would think that since a mobile QB is so important and the fact that they tend to get banged up more would mean we would want more depth at that position?
I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick @$$ and I'm out of bubble gum.

I could see Wilbert and Kooi either leaving or having thier Schollys pulled (If thats possible? I dont really know) They dont fit the mold of the new offense

I wish Coach would pull their schollys, but since their seniors, I think they'll sat for their final year. Bolo will change positions likely. I feel like Kane and/or Bracewell might transfer, since they have the most eligibility left on the team and will likely never start for FAU, since Pelini is bringing in his own freshman QB and a JUCO QB.
My 2012 QB depth chart prediction: 1) German 2) Wilbert 3) Curtis 4) Kooi 5) Flessner

That right there is what is wrong with the system. You really think it would be fair to pull their scholarships because we change coaches when they are seniors?

I think talking to Wilbert and Kooi (after the spring tryouts) and explaining to them that there isn't a spot for them on the squad, here are our options. I'll give you a medical scholarship for that bum shoulder you've got (we've all seen him throw!) and you can finish your degree here at FAU…OR we'll allow you to transfer elsewhere. One would hope that as 5th yr students at FAU they are close to graduation, they can see the end of the road and get their degree and move on. HIGHLY unlikely they just tell them to get packing.

I can't imagine him pulling scholarships like that…it's murder on recruiting when you get a rep like that, especially at our level.

Look at all of the programs who cut players and scholarships. Alabama, LSU, Tennessee and South Carolina, all seem to be recruiting well.

I know the practice, and I also know that Nick Saban could be sacrificing kittens in his office and kids would still go there to play for him.
We are not in a position to start doing that. I also dont think were doing that. We are in a bad spot with the qbs and i dont think CP is going to send the guys packing without a backup plan for em.

Ok, when we are in the SEC, we can do that. We are not doing that now. An urging to transfer is ok, but to pull a scholly at our level is not cool.

Bracewell and Curtis will both be soph. next year. Flessner will never be a QB and I don't think Bracewell will be transferring cause of his passing ability. just going to an up beat fast tempo offense, more than likely not going to a true spread, German isn't even that type of qb. . Shcollys can be pulled but i think some will transfer but its not who you think.
Some will transfer. Some will have it made clear to them they are welcome to stay- but will likely never see the football field on game-day.
