Post

Here is a link to a new article about recruiting violations under the Golden regime and are being investigated on UM campus curently.

Hurricanes coach Al Golden's staff used booster's associate in potential recruiting violations - Yahoo! Sports

If true, put together with Shapiro crap, UM and Golden may REALLY suffer the consequences.

Seriously, how stupid are you?! You're already in a heap of trouble from the Shapiro thing and then you commit some recruiting violations on top of it. Not to bright

My two favorite teams are FAU, and who ever is beating FIU!

UM & Golden in trouble with NCAA?

I went fishing with a bunch of um fans today and came up with their new slogan…

"Well at least we're not Penn State"

At the very least they would get post-season privileges revoked… would blue chippers with offers to top programs like Florida, Ohio State, USC, etc still choose Miami if they couldn't play in the post-season?

And you know this how?  Based on what?  Stop reading headlines and follow the substance of everything 1. surrounding this investigation and 2. what the NCAA has been doing recently.

The NCAA has publicly stated on numerous occassions that the UM administration and staff have been very forthcoming, proactive and open on all requests and this cooperation will clearly help them.  The NCAA cited USC and today PSU for NOT being open, forthcoming and for being uncooperative.

UM has been proactive in imposing their own sanctions since this story was broke.  Multiple players suspended, restitution paid, donations returned and a self imposed bowl ban last season and a potential self imposed bowl ban this season.

Was UM forthcoming with the fact that the same equipment manager is now accused of the exact same  violations under Golden as he is under Shannon–NO.

I think someone has some rose colored glasses on.

Re: UM & Golden in trouble with NCAA?

No, the NCAA has not levied any punishment on UM yet for the Shapiro "stuff".

UM self-imposed not playing in a bowl game last year to make it appear they were cooperating. It would have been a minor bowl anyhow at 6-6, probably bumping FIU out of that game. WOW!

But with ongoing violations WHILE INDER NCAA INVESTIGATION is like spitting in the NCAA's face and saying F…off. With thier (NCAA) mood now, they (UM) AND IT'S FANS had better be REAL CAREFUL of thier public statements. Better learn from Penn States fans lack of remorse (to this day actually!).

Who run's UM, the admins or the football program?

Why would they need to be considering that's not the case?  Accused and convicted are worlds apart.
