Re: Things you thought you would never hear
My thoughts about last night:
-Defense was great and much improved!
-Offense looked more confident under Wilbert and Wilbert runs the spread very well!
-If we correct several mistakes, the score would of been 21 to 3.
-The offensive line needs to come off of the ball quicker and sure up the protection of the QB.
-A win is a WIN!
GO OWLS! Undefeated!

The way everyone has ripped wilbert and put others as superheros, If u want a running QB don't expect to pass the ball like wilbert or Bracewell can. The chant of German was classless and players got a giggle out of it!
But MG3 can throw it and run it….
Also: I was very surprised how many students knew about Melvin, almost all had either heard we recruited an all american QB or knew his name.

I was thinking this would have been the score if Wilbert had started.

We recruit "running QBs" to be "dual threat" QBs. If they can run the ball but can't throw more than 10 yards - as Curtis did last night - then that's not a "dual" threat.

NJ, you must never go to practice.
No, believe it or not, I am not on the team.
But I have seen MG3's arm. In seven on seven drills he threw the ball further, with more zip, and better touch than Wilbert/Curtis/Bracewell ever have.
But I would love to know what you have seen.
