Arkansas State WR Allen Muse Leaves Team
Arkansas State head coach Gus Malzahn and senior wide receiver Allen Muse decided to part ways Tuesday according to a release from the school which was relayed by Tim Kelcher of Fox 16 in Little Rock. The departure comes on the heels of an off-the-field incident for Muse.
Muse only had one catch this season which was made during the opening contest – he sat out the game against Memphis – but Arkansas State will miss his veteran presence and size at wide receiver.
Carlos McCants was listed as a co-starter alongside Muse to open the season. His role should increase as a result of Muse's departure. The team will also rely more heavily on its top two receivers Josh Jarboe and J.D. McKissic.
