Greg Gantt has been  named the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week for 2012-13 Week Five.

Gantt had another outstanding week for the Owls, scoring a career high 34 points in FAU’s 88-78 win over Stetson which was his fourth straight game with at least 23 points. He also had seven rebounds in the game.

Later on Sunday, Gantt Gantt added a 19 point performance in the Owls' 83-50 win over Warner, along with five rebounds.

For the week, he averaged 26.5 points and six rebounds, shooting 43.2 percent from the floor, including 53.3 percent from the three-point line.

The award marks the first for an Owl since Gantt was also named Player of the Week back on February 7, 2011.
