We don’t really have any fresh news here re: MTSU + FAU, just a confirmation of efforts. The news is how much they have to pay to leave.
My two favorite teams are FAU, and who ever is beating FIU!

Yup,

Sounds like the deal is done and were just down to the cost.

I wonder if the 500K from ADT could be earmarked for this? I think it was to Athletics in general and not just for Football.

Looks like it's true

Florida Atlantic, Middle Tennessee might leave Sun Belt early

If the schools stay until 2014, neither will owe the Sun Belt an exit fee, the person said. Schools are supposed to pay a $1 million penalty for leaving early, but the current negotiations center on whether they would owe the full amount. The person said Florida Atlantic and Middle Tennessee are joined at the hip and will either stay in the Sun Belt or join C-USA together.

I read an article on ESPN that FAU and Middle TN will both be joining on July 1st.
I kick cancers ass and that's all there is to it..

I've been told #FAU and #MTSU will not pay the #SunBelt one million dollar exit fee. Both schools negotiated a value between $600-700k.
