Re: Gantt Nominated for 2013 All American Team
The National Association of Basketball Coaches has named Florida Atlantic University guard Greg Gantt to the All District-24 First Team, the organization announced Tuesday.
The Gainesville, FL native was FAU's leading scorer for the fourth season in a row, averaging 21.2 points per game. In a 61-54 win over Troy, Gantt became the school’s all-time leading scorer. Gantt had 18 20-point games during the season, including a career high 34 points against Stetson.
It is the third time Gantt has made the NABC All-District Team, but his first time make the First Team. He was named to the Second Team as a freshman and again as a junior.
NABC District 24 is composed entirely of universities from the Sun Belt Conference and the teams were voted on by NABC members from around the nation. Gantt is now eligible for the NABC Coaches' Division I All-America Team. A list of all of the All-District teams can be found at NABC.org.
Congrats to Greg!
