Out of the last four contests, the 8-4 loss to ULL aside, opponents have only garnered one run.
And one of those was against ULL.

Game release via SID Justin Johnson…
or the second day in a row, the Florida Atlantic University softball team rallied late in the game to tie the score. This time, the Owls completed the comeback, defeating ULM 4-3 at the Sun Belt Conference Tournament.
A wild pitch and a two-run base hit put FAU (28-28) down 3-0 in the top of the third. Melissa Martinez began the rally in the bottom of the sixth with a leadoff single to left. Stephanie Call reached on an error that advanced Martinez all the way to third. Carnesha Thompson then laid down a well-placed bunt that scored the first run of the day for the Owls. After Jordan Stovall reached on a fielder’s choice, Call scored on a fielding error by the Warhawks third baseman to pull FAU within 3-2.
ULM was able to record the second out via strikeout to bring Alison Milam to the plate. Milam’s single down the left field line score Sarah Rotunno (pinch running for Stovall) to tie the game. The Owls had a chance to take the lead, but a grounder ended the inning. Taylor Fawbush pitched her way out of trouble in the top of the seventh to give FAU a chance to win the game. Thompson and Stovall recorded back-to-back two out hits, but were left stranded.
After Fawbush retired the side in order in the top of the eighth, Shelby Knox drew a walk, then gave way to pinch runner Kathryn Spack. Spack advanced to second on a groundout, but could not move up on a Christina Martinez base hit that was nearly snared by the ULM shortstop. Lindsey Shell loaded the bases with a single to left. Melissa Martinez then hit a ball back up through the middle to score Spack and win the game for FAU.
Shell went 3-for-5 for the second day in a row, while Fawbush picked up her team best 14th win of the year in the circle. The Owls will move on to face the loser of the game between Louisiana-Lafayette and South Alabama at 11:00 a.m. eastern on Friday.
