The 2013 John Mackey Award Preseason Watch List was released on Tuesday morning, and making the cut is Florida Atlantic Senior Nexon Dorvilus (pictured above), who returns as the team’s third leading receiver, having hauled in 30 passes for 301 yards. Dorvilus' five touchdowns last season were the highest of any player on the team, and tied for the most by a tight end in the Sun Belt Conference.
The award is given annually to the most outstanding collegiate tight end, as selected by vote of the John Mackey Award Selection Committee. The 2013 John Mackey recipient will be presented live on December 12, 2013 at The Home Depot College Football Awards Red Carpet Show at 6:00 PM on ESPNU.
