Florida Atlantic University Athletics will begin the 2013-14 athletic season with expanded coverage of Owl Athletics.
Owl fans will be able to watch live, high-quality video streams of FAU home football, volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball, and select softball games online at www.fausports.com. Under contractual obligations, televised games will not be streamed. The first live video broadcast is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 30 at 12:30 p.m. when the FAU volleyball team hosts Southeastern Louisiana.

Football and men’s basketball games will continue to be broadcast on ESPN West Palm’s FM signal, 106.3 in Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast, and in Miami-Dade and Broward counties on 640 AM. ESPN West Palm’s Ken LaVicka will provide the play-by-play, while former FAU assistant coach Fred O'Connor and former Owl defensive back Kris Bartels will share the commentary duties. Brian Rowitz, also of ESPN West Palm, will handle the pregame duties along with Joe Colella who will be the in-studio host of pre- and post-game coverage.

LaVicka will anchor the hour-long FAU SportsPage radio show each Monday from 6 to 7 p.m. throughout football season on ESPN 106.3, beginning Monday, Sept. 2 originating at Duffy’s, 401 N. Federal Highway, in Deerfield Beach. With hosting duties covered by LaVicka, the show also will feature FAU Football Head Coach Carl Pelini, assistant coaches and players throughout the season. The FAU SportsPage radio show and all other radio broadcasts also can be heard at www.fausports.com.
