In-state rivals will meet on Thursday night in Ruston, La., when Tulane visits Louisiana Tech. For the Green Wave, the visit to Ruston is the first since the football team spent the 2005 season housed on that campus following Hurricane Katrina. Tulane also played a “home” game against UTEP in Ruston that season.  Tulane and LA Tech have not met since Tulane’s unbeaten 1998 season.

Saturday features games against Arkansas, Arizona, Kansas, Oklahoma, Virginia Tech and more.

Fox Sports 1 will return to Greenville for the second straight week to televise the East Carolina-Virginia Tech. The Pirates offense is off to a great start, with junior QB Shane Carden averaging 324.5 yards per game through the air with seven touchdowns.

After having last week off, Rice returns to action and will try to make it two straight wins over Kansas when the Jayhawks come to town. Rice won last year’s meeting in Lawrence, 25-24, as Chris Boswell drilled a 45-yard field goal as time expired.

The first game of the year on the CSS regional package will take place in Murfreesboro Middle Tennessee hosts Memphis in a meeting of longtime in-state rivals.

Though not too far from each other geographically, Southern Miss and Arkansas have never met on the gridiron. That will change when the teams square off in Fayetteville, Ark.

Tulsa will make the short trip to Norman to play No.13 Oklahoma. The Golden Hurricane will look to build on last Saturday’s win over Colorado State.

UTSA will face a Pac-12 school for the first time when it visits Arizona.

Yeah, that was a really, really stupid move. Cristobal knew what he was doing.

If you guys get a chance to read that FIU Ex Coach tell all thread on their board, it's pretty interesting. That person claims Cristobal had already lost control of that team and didn't really know what he was doing, he was a great recruiter but as for running a program, he was terrible, the team was divided and no one respected him.

That and I guess Garcia didn't appreciate MC disapproving of his womanizing  :Big-Grin:

I don't know if they confirmed who it was but an interesting take nonetheless.
