Now -3.
So, that's a 4 point swing in the Owls' direction for those keeping track.

This UAB game is BEYOND huge and WILL set the tone for the rest of the season.

Couldn't agree more…
IMHO, we still have a solid chance for five wins. Marshall and Auburn are long shots, though Marshall could be another close game.
With a bounce or two our way against Tulane six is not out of the question. But, in support of your point, we better catch fire - beginning Saturday.
The way I see the remainder of the schedule from a probability standpoint:
UAB - toss up
Marshall - likely loss
Auburn - highly likely loss
Tulane - could win
Southern Miss - should win
New Mexico State - should win
FIU - will win
on a side note:
The UAB line is now down to -3.5.

Agree 100% with all of this. This season is far from over but it MUST start with this game.
GO OWLS!

didn't we say the same thing for the Rice Game?

No we didn't. I didn't expect to win the Rice game. Which hurts more when we had the game in hand and gave it away. I DO expect to beat UAB. It's a big game.NCowl said

It looks doubtful that FAU safety Jeremy McKnight will play Saturday at UAB. Owls worked a few different guys at that position today.

This is done ahead of time with probability/possibility factored in…this is one of those cases.

does anyone know if kickoff has been pushed back or bumped up? there's that distrabuance in the gulf right now churning its way towards the gulf coast.Posted On: Oct 3rd 2013, 8:45 AM #318917
Not at the moment. If there is a decision made to do so, it is completely up to UAB to propose and FAU to accept.
