Last year's uniforms were much better, the white helmet with white mask and the blue wave was a nice touch. Also, the pants were great!!! We had a few different combinations we could choose for game day, the red jerseys with blue pants being my favorite. Now we just have those bland gray pants with a trendy stripe and a mess of a helmet….bahhhhhhh The only thing I don't like under the Pelini era so far.Posted On: Oct 18th 2013, 2:28 AM #319873
I agree with you…I thought we had some of the best uni's in the country last year, especially the red jersey. I am not a fan of the gray pants we wear now and I definetly dont think we should wear all those dark colors at home in hot weather ever again (like we did vs MTSU).

The Pants really bug me, they are a downgrade from last year….even worse than our helmets with the "cute" non threating owl logo, a Denver Bronco stripe, and Alabama numbers….makes no sense

Yep - I really liked the white helmet, red jersey, blue pants look. And I agree about the dark colors in hot weather thing too. That's just ridiculous. At least we're not fully navy blue because that would be brutal AND look stupid.walty12 said

Nah the helmet is much worse than the pants. The logo, the numbers... dumb all the way around. Not Maryland-level dumb but still up there. Our old helmets were far superior. In fact, if we could just take off the winged Owl logo and number and put the old FAU winged letters on there, that'd be great. It was great branding on TV and in pictures.
