Six Conference USA games are on the schedule this week, all on Saturday. Two East Division games, two West Division contests and a pair of intra-division showdowns are on the docket.

East Division foes UAB and Marshall get the day started in Huntington, W. Va. The Blazers running game has been strong, with freshman Jordan Howard and junior Darrin Reaves each topping the 100-yard mark last week. Marshall QB Rakeem Cato is coming off a five touchdown game in last week’s 61-13 win.

North Texas will put its unblemished (4-0) home record on the line when UTEP visits. The Mean Green’s improved defense continues to make big plays, ranking second in the nation in turnovers forced with 28 (15 fumbles, 13 interceptions).

East Carolina will host Tulsa in a matchup of schools picked to win their divisions in the preseason. The Pirates are on track to possibly make that prediction happen, owning a 4-1 record in league play and possessing the league’s top passing offense.Tulsa, which has produced most of its offensive success on the ground this fall, is looking to snap a two-game losing streak.

Middle Tennessee will look to become bowl-eligible when it hosts FIU. Blue Raiders RB Reggie Whatley will be seeking his third straight 100-yard game.

UTSA will be seeking its third consecutive victory when Tulane comes to the Alamodome. All three of the Roadrunners C-USA wins have come by 19 points or more. The Green Wave suffered their first league loss last week, but are still tied for first place in the West.

Southern Miss will renew its rivalry with Louisiana Tech, this time as conference brethren for the first time. The teams have met 44 times previously.

Florida Atlantic, Rice, Tulsa, and UTEP are all on bye weeks for the period.
