It might be a year away, but the class of 2015 is already creating a buzz for FAU.
South Plantation athlete Rodrick Archer confirmed Saturday morning that FAU extended a scholarship offer, one day after he named the Owls his leaders. Archer is the cousin of running back Jordan Scarlett, who made headlines on Friday with his verbal commitment to FAU.
Archer was informed of the offer when the Owls coaching staff made contact with his high school head coach. Archer is a 2015 prospect that projects as a safety at the next level and already claims offers from UCF, USF and Cincinnati. He hails from the same high school as Alex Collins, who was recruited by Charlie Partridge to Arkansas.
The recruitment of high school juniors and sophomores was rare during the Howard Schnellenberger and Carl Pelini eras at FAU, but it appears to be trending in the early weeks of Partridge's regime. Archer could soon become the third 2015 commitment for the Owls joining Scarlett and safety Deonta Fair.

I'm sure he's a solid player too but FAU is sure pulling out all the stops to make sure Scarlett wants to come here!

He'd be a very "unwise" Owl to sign with Akron.

As he should.
For most of these young men this is a once in a lifetime chance to have lots of people fawning over them. Get out and see the world especially if is on the University's dime for recruiting.
I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick @$$ and I'm out of bubble gum.
